Ghajini Movie

Ghajini Movie Review :

Ghajini is the story of Sanjay Singhania ( played by Aamir Khan ) who is the owner of a Mobile service provider company. He is super rich(owns a private jet, always moves with 5 cars around him etc etc) and falls in love with an upcoming model Kalpana ( played by Asin Thottumkal ). All this happens in the past tense. In the present, Sanjay is an ultra muscular, salivating, screaming, wide/red eyed human(??) who is suffering from short term memory loss and whose memory span is only 15 minutes. He clicks photographs to remember what he was doing 15 minutes back and is searching for a Mr. Ghajini ( played by Pradeep Rawat ) whom he is supposed to kill. A medical student named Sunita ( who is apparently the dumbest Medical student in the history of world cinema) helps him achieving his goal.

Ten minutes into the movie and the horror of the upcoming disaster became apparent. Thankfully, Asin’s role is the only saving grace of the movie. She brings in stability and novelty to the almost-gone-out-of-control script. The portion of the movie which unfolds in the flashbacks is much more subtle and watchable. For the rest of it, you actually feel like watching an old Sunny Deol movie where he fights with the goons, revenging the love of his life.

Switching on my “logic” button, the movie took quite a few liberties completely banking on the we-go-to-see-movies-for-entertainment mindset of an average moviegoer. I can understand that showing Aamir’s body was essential and in sync with the story but why was a rich businessman folding the sleeve of his shirts till his armpits even when he is in his office was beyond me ( Aamir looked more like a don than a businessman ). Why would a Medical student go to a Don(Mr. Ghajini) and tells him that there is a man after him and he should be alert when she can see four of his goons standing behind him and might apply a little brain to understand that he is no saint either? Why won’t a woman run out of her house when the electricity fails and when she knows that there are four goons in her house ready to chop her? If someone is telling the whole world that the owner of the biggest mobile service provider company is in love with her, won’t she atleast Google it once to see what he looks like?

Hrithik Rings In 34th Birthday

Actor Hrithik Roshan turns 34 today. The actor has decided to spend a quiet birthday with his family and close ones. He and his family will be having a havan and pooja this morning at their residence. The pooja will be followed by a family lunch. Clearly, the Jodha Akbar actor, who is still recuperating from his knee injury, is no mood for celebrations.

Films were a part of Hirthik's legacy. What with his grandfather being the famous music director of yore, Roshan; his father Rakesh Roshan is an actor, his uncle Rajesh Roshan, a music composer, and his maternal grandfather, J Om Prakash, a film director. It was in that sense, a very filmy environment into which the young Hrithik was born and bred. He made his mark as a child actor itself when he gave a stellar performance in Bhagwan Dada and Aap Ke Deewane, both which starred his father as well. But it was in the year 2000, the new millennium, that Hrithik emerged as the superstar with the blockbuster Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, directed by his father. A star had definitely arrived and Hrithik bagged many awards that year for his debut venture. He went onto give a critically acclaimed performance in Khalid Mohammed's Fiza and Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Mission Kashmir.
http://www.meetshahrukhkhan.com

The following year saw him deliver the first dud of his career, Subhash Ghai's Yaadein. But it was followed by Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, where he managed to hold his own against veterans like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The year 2002 proved to be a little unlucky for Hrithik as his films like Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum and Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage, flopped miserably. But he bounced back in 2003 with Koi Mil Gaya, again directed by his father. Farhan Akhtar's Lakshya followed and even though the film did not do too well, his performance as always, came in for a lot of praise. Hrithik took a two-year break before he bounced back with Krrish, a sequel to Koi Mil Gaya and Dhoom 2, a sequel to the earlier Dhoom. Now, all eyes are set on Ashutosh Gowarikar's magnum opus Jodha Akbar. Hrithik's strength as an actor has always been his superb body language, and his knack for getting into the skin of his character. There is absolutely no doubt that in his generation of actors, he is head and shoulders above the rest. We all would like to wish him a very happy birthday.!

'Ghajini' release at last confirmed..

The Bombay High Court has allowed 'Ghajini' to be released on Dec 25 (Thursday) even though the case filed against its producer for alleged violation of copyright is still pending in the court.

A little-known production banner, KBC Pictures, had filed a case in the court Monday, claiming that producer Madhu Mantena had infringed upon its copyright as it had acquired the right to re-make 'Ghajini' in Hindi.

Asking for the court's stay on the movie's scheduled release Dec 25, the counsel for the banner told the court that his client's re-make version of the movie was already on the floors under the title 'Kahani Ghajini Ki'.

According to Mantena, various brands being endorsed by actor Aamir Khan have joined hands to start a Rs.140-million promotional campaign, the costliest marketing campaign ever to promote a Bollywood movie.

While clothing brand, Van Heusen, has already launched its new 'Ghajini' apparel, the mobile instrument and accessories company, Samsung, has come out with two special edition mobile sets, L700 and M200. These two models are pre-loaded with 'Ghajini' ringtones, songs and pictures.

Mantena revealed that a series of 'Ghajini' merchandise would be available in stores across the country after the movie hits the screen Dec 25.

However, the producers have been asked to return to the court Dec 24, a day before the film's worldwide release.

'It's a rather sad misuse of the judiciary by people who have nothing better to do than harass others. Where do they get the time to indulge in such transparently fraudulent efforts? I mean, who had heard of 'Kahani Ghajini Ki' until now? I hadn't,' Mantena told IANS.

He said it was an 'insignificant case which will not affect the release of the film'.

'We're holding special previews Dec 24 before the release, but no premiere,' he added.

Producer Iqbal claims KBC Pictures made a film called 'Kahani Ghajini Ki' at a cost of Rs.100 million, and with the same storyline as 'Ghajini'.

Waiting for which Khan to win...

Depressed Shahid Takes Ups Smoking

This is just another of those side effects of love.

Shahid Kapur, who is known to be quite a fitness freak, has not only turned insomniac but has also taken up smoking in a big way following his alleged breakup with Kareena Kapoor.
According to unit members, the actor has almost become a chain smoker. The unit hands scolded him and some of them advised him to cut down on the cigarettes. Reports of his breakup with Kareena appeared right after the actor left for a month-and-a-half long shoot to Canada. Besides taken up smoking, the actor has also found a friend in co-star Vidya Balan. The two of them become good friends during the recent outdoor schedule of their film Kismat Connection. The actor apparently went into depression after reports of his break-up with Kareena hit the news stands. He found it very difficult to concentrate on his work. But Vidya is believed to have helped him come out of his depression to a large extent. When they were not shooting, they would spend a lot of time together. The actress would drag him for shopping and the unit members too took good care of him.

Vidya Throws a Fit on Sets of Kismet Connection

Generally known to be a very down-to-earth person, actress Vidya Balan surprised onlookers when she threw a fit on the sets of her film Kismet Connection.

Vidya refused to wear the clothes designed for her by Aki Narula, leading to a huge drama on the sets of the film. It is believed that Vidya hated the costumes designed by Aki so much that she even flung aside one of the dresses angrily on the sets. Aki, who is at his wit's end, is believed to have opted out of the film as he could not cope with Vidya's demands. Apparently Vidya had earlier gone on record to say that she was a fan of Aki's and then she suddenly starting finding fault with his designs. She felt they did not suit her image in the movie. This, despite the fact that Aki followed the brief that was given to him for the movie. According to sources, someone from the unit told the actress that she was not looking as glamorous as she was supposed to because of Aki's clothes. Of course, none of the parties are available for comments.

The movie is based in Chandni Chowk situated in Old Delhi.

Abhishek Bachchan said, “It has been great experience forme, I truly enjoyed it, it gave me the opportunity to work with Rakeysh, who has been a very dear friend of mine and I wanted to work with him for a very long time. It also gave me the opportunity to work with two of my favorite actors, Rishi kapoor and Waheeda Rehman, and work on a wonderful script.”

Talking about Sonam Kapoor he stated, “She is very talented and a beautiful actress. She’s always smiling and I like that about her, it is wonderful to see that kind of confidence she has, because this is her second film and she was put in front of the camera with Om Puri and Rishi Kapoor and Waheeda Rehman. These are stall worth and I think the best in the business would be scared to stand in front of and to hold your honour in front of them takes a lot of guts and a great amount of confidence and talent.”

NEW DELHI: For some female celebrities, Shah Rukh Khan's moustachioed look in much-awaited “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” has not made any difference in loyalty. Others, however, feel he is better off without it.
Though this is for the third time that King Khan is sporting a moustache after “Army” and “Paheli”, he is receiving a mixed response for his 'ordinary man with moustache' look in "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi", releasing on Friday.
“Shah Rukh definitely looks good without a moustache. He looks so good when he is clean shaven. Moustache looks good only on Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor because we have always seen them like that unlike Shah Rukh who is more like a boy next door,” supermodel Laxmi Rana said.
Shah Rukh has teamed up with newcomer Anushka Sharma in the movie, which is about a mismatched couple who find true love against the backdrop of a dance competition. Shah Rukh plays a middle class guy and his look is designed to suit his character in the film - he wears ill-fitting shirts and trousers teamed with sneakers. He also sports black rimmed spectacles.
His other look sees him clean shaven and sporting flashy, bright and trendy clothes.
Model Amanpreet Wahi has rejected both his looks in the film.
“I am not a Shah Rukh fan, but he surely rules Bollywood. Firstly, I think he looks good only without a moustache and secondly his weight loss is visible through the promos and he is not looking good.
“Women prefer macho men and he is not at all looking so in the way he has dressed for the film. His weight loss has done him no good,” Amanpreet said.
However, TV actress Ketaki Dave feels fans are not responding enthusiastically to Shah Rukh's new look because they are used to seeing him sans a moustache. “It will take time to get used to it,” she said.
Item girl Payal Rohatgi echoed the same: “I am a great Shah Rukh Khan fan and I love him in all get ups. The moustache look suits him for this role of a middle class husband but on a personal level, I do prefer him without it. His clean shaven look rocks.”
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of veteran actors Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, put out her verdict straight - “With or without moustache, Shah Rukh is god!”
Even dusky beauty Chitrangada Singh, is all eyes for the actor.
“Shah Rukh looks good anyhow. I personally prefer him clean shaven, but he could even make a beard work as long as he looks long and hard in the girls' eyes,” she quipped.
Another lot of Shah Rukh fans including film critic Anupama Chopra doesn't believe in judging an actor by his or her looks.
Chopra considers moustaches and looks a very secondary consideration in judging an actor's capability.
“He looks different with a moustache, but it is not how I look and judge actors. That is just not the criteria for me,” she said.
Jackie and Anil are few of the handful actors in Bollywood today who can carry off a moustache with panache, apart from yesteryear actors like Raj Kapoor and Rakesh Roshan.

Meet Shahrukh Khan

Vaibhavi Merchant, who has choreographed for Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, has teamed up with him after four years. It was Veer-Zaara (2004) that she had last worked with him on a film set and Shah Rukh was 39-year-old then. But this ace dancer says that age has neither limited King Khan’s energy nor his enthusiasm to perform and learn new things.
“Shah Rukh is like wine, he only gets better with age. He is settling benchmarks for himself and others with every film. Look at Om Shanti Om what he has done to his body and looks. He is someone who always looks to push himself. I worked with him in Veer-Zaara four years before and these years haven’t really affected him at all. He is fitter and if I may say so a better dancer too,” says Vaibhavi.
She adds, “Shah Rukh puts in a lot of hard work while dancing. No one can match his enthusiasm and energy to learn and deliver new things. He is always ready to do something. He’s a bundle of energy. I’m not used to much rehearsal before taking the shot and Shah Rukh is like always rehearsing his steps till the last minute. Other actors might not want to exert himself or herself the way Shah Rukh does but that is how he is. He has a wonderful way of rehearsing. You will always find him (Shah Rukh) with a coffee mug in his hand and even while he’s doing his steps. When he is ready, he simply does it so smoothly that you wonder how easily he pulled it off.”
Vaibhavi adds that seeing Aditya Chopra and King Khan work alongside each other was a treat.
“If you are in a film that has a SRK and Adi combo, can you ask for anything better? They are always at ease with each other. They are more friends than professionals and it is this rapport that just weaves a magic. They are always into what they are doing. They are improvising, there is so much creativity at work that you enjoy being in there. It is this camaraderie that has created those lovely films (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein in which Aditya Chopra was the director and Shah Rukh Khan the actor),” she says.

BANGLADESH TO OPEN OWN TAJ MAHAL

Taj Mahal- 2

A life-size replica of the Taj Mahal, often described as the world's most beautiful building, is due to open for visitors in Bangladesh.

The replica has been built by a Bangladeshi filmmaker.

Ahsanullah Moni said he wanted his countrymen to experience the beauty of the Indian monument even if they were too poor to travel to see the original.

The 17th Century Taj was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a tomb for his beloved queen, Mumtaz Mahal.

The emperor is buried next to his queen in the monument in the northern Indian city of Agra, which is visited by millions every year.

The $58m (£39m) replica has been built in Sonargaon, a small town in the Bangladeshi countryside.

'Marble and diamonds'

Mr Moni, who is a successful director of Bangladeshi films, says he hopes his replica, which has been built an hour's drive from the capital Dhaka, will also attract foreign visitors.

It took 20 years and 20,000 workers to build the original Taj.

Thanks to modern technology, construction of Mr Moni's Taj has taken five years and fewer people.

But it has been neither easy nor cheap.

Mr Moni says he has imported marble and granite from Italy and diamonds from Belgium.

Architects were sent to India to copy the dimensions of the original.

Work on the surrounding grounds and ponds has still not been completed.

Only then will Bangladeshis be able to judge whether Mr Moni has truly copied the beauty and purity of the original Taj Mahal.

'Shah Rukh is ours!'

'Shah Rukh is ours!', a Malaysian newspaper said in its editorial applauding the conferment of Datukship on the Bollywood superstar.

Nursing an arm injured during a film shoot last Friday, Shah Rukh flew in Saturday on a brief visit to be the first foreign actor to receive the award amidst rapturous ovation and took a rickshaw ride through Malacca, winning hearts of the citizenry.

The newspaper ridiculed critics at home, particularly some local artistes, who asked 'what has he done that we have not?' saying the award to Khan had 'evoked rather more bluster than it warranted.'

Justifying the decision of the Malacca state to confer the award on Shah Rukh Khan, the editorial said: 'Sadly for them, the answer is not what Shah Rukh has done but who he is. And who he is, is not just a fabulously successful 43-year-old film star with global recognition and vast masses of devoted fans'.

Trying to strike a balance in its praise, the newspaper said: 'No, our latest Datuk's personal assets and career achievements themselves did not justify the honour. Nor, frankly, do his movies, particularly not 'One 2 Ka 4', the last of his six movies to be shot in Malaysia, featuring a sequence of Shah Rukh and leading lady Juhi Chawla disporting themselves around a Famosa.'

'This may or may not have boosted Malacca's tourism; when a star of Shah Rukh's incandescence is on screen, everything else tends to be reduced to, well, scenery,' the editorial said, adding the justification for this award was proven at the ceremony itself, when his simple presence was enough to send the assembled dignitaries into a twittering fluster of swoons.

'Malacca, from Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob (the royal head of state) down, is enraptured by Shah Rukh Khan and unashamed to admit it. The award was an excuse to show it.
The popularity goes beyond the estimated 2.5 million ethnic Indians who form eight percent of Malaysia's 28 million population.

Raaz - The Mystery Continues...

Well, only time will disclose the real raaz about this RAAZ!

The Bhatt camp is all set to spook the audience with 'Raaz - The Mystery Continues', which is scheduled for release in January 2009.

The film will release Jan 23 next year. Though the film shares the title with the Bipasha Basu starrer, 'Raaz', which was also produced by Vishesh Films, the producers claim that the film is not a sequel.

While Vikram Bhatt directed "Raaz", Mohit Suri of "Woh Lamhe" fame is directing the new film.

"Raaz - The Mystery Continues" will star Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Shekhar Suman's son Adhyayan Suman.

Though the plot of the film remains unknown, it is expected to be a supernatural thriller. "The film will challenge one's beliefs about paranormal phenomenon," a press release said.

Actress Kangna Ranawat, appeared very excited to be a part of this film. Earlier, options were open for new faces after Bipasha's refusal opposite Emran Hashmi in this film. Luckily this opportunity fell in Kangna's lap and obviously she grabbed it. "I started my career with a Bhatt camp film and I am very happy that once again I am working with the same people", she exclaimed. Whereas Emran Hashmi, who is playing the ghost in this film, said, "I don't believe in ghosts, but, if the word ghost exists might be ghosts too exists. Pakistan nabs Mumbai...

File photo of Pakistani soldiers on a patrol

Pakistani security forces have arrested a suspected planner of last month's militant attack on Mumbai in a raid on a militant camp in Pakistani Kashmir, sources said on Monday.

The Pakistani government has not revealed any details of Sunday's raid at the camp used by Lashkar-e-Taiba fighters in the hills outside the regional capital Muzaffarabad. But the military confirmed a crackdown had started on banned jihadi groups like Lashkar.

India and the United States have pressed Pakistan to act against militants suspected of being behind the Mumbai attack in which at least 171 people were killed.

There were fears that tensions between nuclear-armed India and Pakistan could rise unless Pakistan cooperated and a four-year-old peace process is already in jeopardy.

Intelligence officials, workers with a charity linked to Lashkar and people living nearby say Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, a Lashkar operations chief named by India as a suspect, was taken into custody.

He denied the group was involved in the Mumbai attack.

The surviving gunman captured in Mumbai named Lakhvi and another Lashkar commander, Yusuf Muzammil, as ringleaders in the plot, according to Indian officials.

Indian police said they had identified the nine dead gunmen, and the places they came from in Pakistan.

Rakesh Maria, lead investigator for Mumbai police, said three suspects including one in custody were from Okara district, three from Multan, two from Faisalbad and one from Sialkot. He identified the leader as Ismail Khan, from Dera Ismail Khan.

They were also questioning a man arrested in northern India last February, and investigating if there were any links to homegrown Islamist militant groups.

The man being questioned is an Indian citizen who was caught with maps that highlighted several targets hit in Mumbai.

Priyanka Chopra loves it, so does Beyonce Knowles. Look at these celebs as they flaunt the yellow, the in colour of the year.

Going out to do some shopping for the New Year? Well, then make sure that your 'buy-list' includes the colour yellow, for a leading source has predicted that the cheerful and sunny shade is the influential colour of 2009.

Pantone, which provides colour standards to design industries, has specifically cited "mimosa" as its top shade of the New Year. In photo: Actress Priyanka Chopra attends the landmark Grand Opening of Atlantis, The Palm Resort, and the Palm Jumeirah on November 20, 2008 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

And now, the fashion industry is also embracing yellow, which had already been gaining popularity on the ramp. "People know yellow lightens up the atmosphere," said Eiseman. Mimosa is a vibrant shade of yellow illustrated by the flowers of some mimosa trees as well as the brunch-favourite cocktail as Singer Beyonce performs on stage..
"I think it's just the most wonderful symbolic colour of the future. It's invariably connected to warmth, sunshine and cheer - all the good things we're in dire need of right now," Courier Mail quoted Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute, as saying. Celebrity Pamela Anderson attends a press conference ahead of her appearance on Channel Ten's reality TV show 'Big Brother' at the Palazzo Versace on July 9, 2008 on the Gold Coast, Australia. YUVVRAAJ music is magnificient!

"Yuvvraaj is a story of a family in Europe where a father creates huge wealth for his three sons but ends his life observing that they have lost their family values and see themselves as partners rather than brothers who play dangerous mind games for money. Only Katrina Kaif a beautiful musician at the Prague music orchestra bring them together on a stage to allow them to experience their relationship in a new light.A musical family entertainer with impressive performances by Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Zayed Khan as the three brothers with three different takes on life, also starring Boman Irani...
Whenever music wizard A.R.Rahman and iconic lyricist Gulzaar have come together they have always weaved magic. Right from Shah Rukh Khan's "Chaiyyan Chaiyyan" (DIL SE) to Aishwaryaand#150;Abhishek's "Tere Bina" (GURU), the duo has successfully serenaded the audience with some superb and soulful compositions. And of course things can get only better as they are now coming together in YUVVRAAJ for exand#150;showman, Subhash Ghai, a director who is very passionate about music.

With the first teaser of Ghai's magnum opus, YUVVRAAJ, carrying the hauntingly beautiful signature piano tune, a trademark Rahman (out on every channel) the curiosity and expectancy levels have only increased.

The stamp of approval for YUVVRAAJ's musical score comes from none other than the great lyricist Gulzaar himself. As per Gulzaar Sahab, the songs of YUVVRAAJ are 'magnificent' but he is quick to add that he is not saying this because he is the lyricist of the film. He gives all the credit to the director, Subhash Ghai and the music director, A.R. Rahman.

In fact, Gulzaar recently saw the songs of the film and was of the view that this is one of Rahman's best works till date. He further added that Subhash Ghai has picturised the songs beautifully. And that is because he is so involved with the music that very few can match up to his level.

Sensational music.. for more pics of stars, movies and latest videos check out the site..

Aamir feeds biscuits to Shahrukh

CAN U IMAGINE WATS NEXT...

Aamir said: "Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then.

What more can I ask for?" Well, this is what Aamir had to say about his dog Shahrukh in his blog! Apparently, Aamir bought a house and with it came the dog named Shahrukh.

It may be recalled that just a few days ago when Aamir was asked what he would like to ask Shahrukh Khan, he replied: "I would like to ask Shahrukh, how it feels to be No.2." Claiming that he has nothing to do with naming the dog, Aamir said that the caretakers named it even before he bought the house.

On a final note, Aamir winds up stating that "Well Shahrukh is once again begging for my attention, so let me get back to him. He is smelling too much, I think he needs a bath. Heel boy, heel." Let's see how the Baadshah of Bollywood retaliates.

Shahrukh's biography

Shahrukh khan the Star...

King Khan has come a long way from his television debut days. SRK first entered the limelight with his role as 'Abhimanyu' in the tele-serial Fauji, followed by Circus which portrayed the life of circus performers. He made his movie debut in 1992 with Deewana. However in 1993 he shot to stardom with his two successive negative roles as a paranoid lover in Baazigar and Darr. 1995 proved to be a defining year in his career with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, his biggest hit firmly positioned him as the most successful actor. He followed DDLJ with a string of successful love stories, including Pardes and Dil To Pagal Hai, becoming the quintessential romantic hero.Though he is known to share great on screen chemisty with all his heroines, the way he and Kajol light up the screen together has no present day parallel in Indian cinema.

Though some of his movies like Chahat, Duplicate and Dil Se didn't do too well at the box office; it proved to be no dent on his career. Dil Se did not do commercially too well, but the song Chaiya Chaiya proved to be successful for Shahrukh, as the track became a rage.

Then came Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Not only was the movie a colossal hit, it set the course for a long and successful association between Shahrukh Khan and the director of the movie, Karan Johar. Together, the two went on to give bigger hits with Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kal Ho Naa Ho. Today Shahrukh has worked with every big director in the country. From period eponymous roles like that in Asoka to that of a doomed hero with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas, Shahrukh has constantly reinvented himself over the years.

In 2004 Shahrukh was seen romancing Sushmita Sen as Major Ram Prasad Sharma in Main Hoon Na. Towards the end of the year came Ashutosh Gowariker's Swades, where Shahrukh's understated performance as Mohan Bhargava won him a Filmfare in 2005. Taking National repute to another level, Amol Palekar's Paheli, where Shahrukh plays the friendly "ghost' has been picked as the official entry from India for the Oscar's this year. Constantly on his way up, Shahrukh's forthcoming releases include Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Farhan Akhtar's Don and Happy New Year in 2006.

Married to Gauri Khan, they stay in Mumbai with their two children, Aryan and Suhana.

SRK Scare at Box Office..

TENSION OF ACTORS FOR THEIR NEXT RELEASE...

SRK Scare at Box Office

http://www.meetshahrukhkhan.com

This Friday, the public will definitely be spoilt for choice as there are five Hindi films and two English ones which are releasing at the box office. And the guys to be blamed for this are apparently Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

Both the superstars have their films releasing within a fortnight of each other. SRK's Rab Ne Bana De Jodi is releasing on Dec 12, while Aamir's Ghajini is set for December 25. So it seems that the small filmmakers are trying to get their films to release earlier so that they can get some kind of attention. Once SRK and Aamir enter the scene, there will hardly be any room for these movies. But according to a certain section in the trade, it would have been better if they had released their films along with Aamir's or SRK's as they would have benefited from the spillover effect. All the five films set to hit the theatres today, are small films targeted mainly at multiplex audiences. Bit in the aftermath of the Mumbai blasts, there are few people who would be venturing into cinema halls. Malls and multiplexes are seeing a dip in crowds and business. Hence one wonders at the business sense of these filmmakers. They could not have chosen a worse time for releasing their movies. Neither of these films would, even in ordinary circumstances, been expected to do great business, but now the scene appears to be dismal for them. So, yes, there is a lot to choose today, but are there any takers?

When Khan will Take in Khan

When Khan will Take in Khan

WHO WILL WIN IN THIS FIGHT??

It was perhaps to be expected. After attacking Shah Rukh Khan in his blog, Aamir Khan has now decided to take the rivalry one step further, as the date for his next film, Ghajini has been pushed forward and will now clash with SRK's Rab Ne Bana De Jodi.

Ghajini, which is being directed by AR Murugadoss, was to be released in October. But following a few delays, the film's release has been now pushed forward to December 12, the same date when Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana De Jodi, hits the theatres. Aamir's hamstring injury has further added to the delays pluging Ghajini. The film was first delayed because Aamir wanted to concentrate on Taare Zameen Par. And now that he has injured his hamstring, the actor is using it as an opportunity to oversee the release of his nephew Imraan Khan's debut, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. His focus is his nephew right now. Incidentally, Jaane Tu too will clash with Harman Baweja's debut vehicle, Love Story 2050 on July 4. Anyway, to come back to Ghajini, it seems that Aamir himself is very keen that the film releases in December, because that is favourite time of the year for him. His Taare Zameen Par, which released in December last year, did exceptionally well. But this Aamir will be taking on not just SRK but the Chopras as well. So come December, we can expect another gigantic clash at the box office. Unless of course, one of the parties backs off.

Abhishek's 32nd birthday with Ash

He is the scion of one of the most cultured and talented families in Indian Cinema.

Abhishek Bachchan in his 32nd birthday today. The actor is perhaps in the best phase of his life. His honeymoon with wife Aishwariya continues. On the professional front too, he has reasons to feel good as he has three good releases coming up this year. Though born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth, Abhishek has had his fair amount of struggle before he managed to carve a place for himself as one of the leading lights of young Bollywood.

If last year began with a bang for him, following the success of Mani Ratnam's Guru, this year too augurs well for the actor. He has films like Ram Gopal Verma's Sarkar Raj; then there is friend Goldie Behl's Drona, and finally,Rakesh Mehra's Dilli 6. This may well be his year. His wife Ash too has managed to find a good balance between her work and her professional life. One of the biggest films of her career as well, Ashutosh Gowarikar's Jodha Akbar is due for release this month. Currently, the actor is in Jaipur, shooting for Dilli 6.

It is believed that he held a small party for close friends and family, to ring in his birthday. His wife and his parents specially flew in for the occasion. The Big b flew in from Shimla where is shooting for Shoojit Sirkar's next. Ash had flown in on Monday morning to celebrate her hubby's first birthday after marriage. Also present were close friends like Kunal Kapoor, Goldie, Apoorva Lakhia and a few others. Abhishek has been lodged in a plush farmhouse, provided by UTV, the film's producers, which became the venue for the party as well.. We, at Movietalkies.com, would like to wish the actor a very happy birthday!

Cricket Vs Cupid

Encouraging the mind of Indian cricket team and fans - Shahrukh Khan.

http://www.meetshahrukhkhan.com

We love cricket. India loves the game! Cricket is the reason for our very existence. Cricketers are our Gods-our triumphant boys in blue. Our religion?-cricket! Our love? obsession?-CRICKET!!

Pritish Nandy communication brings you the craziest, most amazing love story of the year! And the one thing it's not about is hearts, flowers and cupid with his bow-n-arrow! Infact, tweak it a little, take away the bow-n-arrow and put a bat in Cupid's plump little arms and what you've got is Meerabai Not Out!

Meera Achrekar, a mathematics teacher at Vishwaprem Vidyalaya, has been happy and single for quite a while now. The great love of her life has been, and will always remain, cricket and Anil Kumble. The meticulous number cruncher is, despite not being the classic eye-candy-teenage-fantasy-fodder, a huge hit in class. And that's because Meera, unlike most teachers of her school, is more fanatical about her religion--cricket-- than even the school cricket captain!

Living with her family in their small home in a Mumbai chawl, Meera was initiated into her temple of Wankhede Stadium by her brother, Mahesh.

While the folk at Bhaktiyog Society have cast aspersions on her craze towards the game, the bigger problem that worries the Achrekar family is Meera's still single- status. Love suddenly blossoms with heart-specialist, Dr Arjun Sachdeva and Meera realizes that perhaps there is more to life than praying for Team India and Anil Kumble! However, in between this fabulous exchange of text messages, Valentine's Day outings and walks along Chowpatty, she confesses to Arjun that she is already married-- to cricket!

So, while the maiden's heart beats for Anil Kumble and India's fortunes, the more important question is: will Meera be able to commit to her non-striker beau and keep her prospective father-in-law at bay?

This season's most charming, rality struck romance is here to warm your heart! Cross your fingers and pray that Meera doesn't have to choose between love and Anil Kumbale!

What would u choose Cricket or Love???? :D
