Kerala bakery makes a 32-feet high cake for Christmas

Kochi, Dec 23 : With Christmas just round the corner, a bakery in Kerala made a 32-feet high cake in an attempt to create a world record.

Made by Peter's Bakery of Ernakulam district of the state, the cake measuring 550 kilograms was completed in 15 days.

The 'tallest cake' as it was called, drew hordes of visitors at the Cake Expo in Kochi where it was displayed.

Supported by iron pipes and wooden planks, the cake was made by the organizers in an attempt to create a world record.

By making this cake, they claimed to have broken the previous world record of a 30-feet high cake.

"We planned to make this Christmas season something different. Therefore, we planned to make an amazing cake. We searched on the internet and we got information about a cake of 30 feet height. So, we planned to make a cake 32 feet high to make a record. We got very good response from the public," saidayachandran Pillai, an organiser. http://www.meetshahrukhkhan.com
