Shahrukh Khan in Billo Barber

Shah Rukh Khan knows how to promote his films, despite whatever Aamir Khan may say. Probably he has yet to come up with a marketing gimmick like the one Aamir did for Ghajini the trademark hairstyle, which every usher was sporting at certain cinema halls, but he really hard sells brand SRK in every which he can to promote his movie.

This time SRK is doing it for Billu, a film directed by Priyadarshan for the actor's Red Chillies Entertainment banner. Though the real protagonist of the film is Irfan Khan, it is SRK who is going to bring the crowds in. And he has ensured that they come in with his three hot item numbers that he has danced to with Bollywood's three beauties, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. He has managed to weather the storm raised by the Hair Dresser's Union that he should drop the word 'barber' from the title of his film as it was offensive. Even though the actor could not find anything offensive in it, he decided not to drag his feet over the issue and went ahead and dropped the 'Barber' from Billu Barber. Nursing a shoulder injury, for which he will be operated on later this month, the actor has refused to play mindgames with his arch rival and good friend Aamir Khan, though it hasn't stopped him from saying that he feels that maybe Aamir is going through a mid life crisis. He turned Aamir's famous statement about him not being a marketing genius but a PR genius on its head and is believed to have asserted that he is glad that he is a genius at something. With the IPL around the corner, the actor has very busy times ahead.
